According to researchers, hereditary genes are to blame in many autism cases. Studies suggesting that the age and health of the mother plays a role on autism that is bigger than it is thought have recently focused on the mother’s womb. “We have identified many vulnerable genes but not every individual with these genes has autism.” Explained Dr. Goldstein. Latest research shows that the conditions during pregnancy might trigger autism if there is genetic vulnerability. According to experts, these factors might be stress, diet, infections, age of the mother and medications taken by the mother.
